Coastal Services Division Mobilized to Meet the Needs of NJ Businesses Recovering from Hurricane Sandy

Extremely high winds and storm surges of up to 12 feet have left thousands of waterfront structures damaged, many beyond repair, making reconstruction an overwhelming task. To assist the recovery efforts of businesses and communities affected by Hurricane Sandy, Brinkerhoff Environmental Services, Inc. has mobilized its Coastal Services Division in both its Manasquan and Medford, NJ locations.

Headed by Glenn Donohue, Principal Environmental Scientist, the Coastal Services Division focuses on identifying ecological and regulatory restraints which may impact proposed improvements to waterfront and coastal properties.  Identifying these constraints is a critical component in determining the level of involvement federal and state agencies will have in a particular project.

Brinkerhoff has more than 20 years of environmental consulting and civil engineering experience working in the tri-state area of NY, NJ and PA.  The company has documented success working with the state and federal oversight agencies when seeking to install waterfront structures and protective barriers and completing dredging projects. “Our company has the expertise to streamline the process while keeping within a Client’s budgetary framework,” said Laura Brinkerhoff, owner of Brinkerhoff Environmental Services.

Business owners and community leaders may contact Glenn Donohue at 732-223-2225 or GDonohue@BrinkEnv.com regarding their specific needs.
