Minimum Qualifications

  • MS degree in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental science
  • Registered Geologist/Hydrogeologist or equivalent
  • 10 years of applicable experience

Typical Job Duties

  • Supervises operation and maintenance of geological test and survey equipment
  • Performs decision-making involving state and federal environmental regulatory factions
  • Performs site investigations and plans reviews for new and existing land applications
  • Investigates spills and other groundwater contamination problems
  • Assists environmental staff with evaluating groundwater monitoring data or research

Job Description

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard geologic/hydrogeological techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform critical negotiations and decision-making involving the various state and federal environmental regulatory factions.
  • Has proven ability to lead and supervise support staff and is skilled in client relations and report writing.
  • Provides overall leadership and management of client and project activities relating to hydrogeologic and remedial investigations.
