Mr. Powers is an Environmental Scientist/Geophysicist responsible for managing the firm’s geophysical studies, field investigations, and 3-D computer modeling program. He oversees field collection of geophysical data using Terrain Conductivity Meters and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and is adept in designing and implementing data acquisition to detect buried foundations, USTs, drums, debris, landfill areas, and other subsurface conditions which pose potential environmental risks. He has collected data at numerous sites resulting in the discovery of previously unidentified underground storage tanks (USTs) and other subsurface structures. Mr. Powers’ experience includes the use of Differential Global Positioning Satellite (DGPS) data to precisely locate geophysical anomalies and survey locations. Upon completion of fieldwork, Mr. Powers and support staff combine field data and in-house modeling programs to produce 2-D and 3-D subsurface images and technical reports.
